Eyeball (1975)
We have the sharp knife piercing female skin, the funky score and a mysterious killer revealed in the end. But compared to other giallo films, this feels very mechanical and simplistic. There isn’t much style applied to the whole affair, the acting is sometimes on the verge of parody and characters act even more idiotic than usual. Like even after several murders, the tourist group are still continuing their vacation and go on the tour bus for more sightseeing like it is just another day. It does give the film a certain charm, making it entertaining for its Agathie Christie style mystery plot on who the killer among the troupe might be. It is more silly than scary, but still an enjoyable entry in the genre.
