Re-Wind (1988)
Weird kind of sexploitation ugly thriller with gory elements. Maybe Joel Schumacher took notes from this with 8mm, as the dive into a bizarre world of underground snuff tapes is sufficiently nasty. But the film also tries to be a softcore porn filmed like a hardcore one. What I mean is, that the sex scenes lack the eroticism because it is filmed very plain and explicit, except it is not explicit enough to be shocking (there is a lot of licking on the outside of underwear). That just make it boring both ways, and then I just don’t see the point anymore.
