Still Walking (2008)
Another night this might have got me more, but this was honestly a mostly boring dud. I like Kore-eda and his ability to give characters on screen life, authenticity and warmth. It is here in passing, a few scenes here and there that grabbed me some. I especially found the grandpa an interesting person. Kore-eda clearly has a good eye for building a sense of years of back story and lived in pasts for everyone through small details, gestures and hints in conversations and body language. My experience was just completely unengaged in any of it.
