Dangerous Game (1993)
This was a angry film. It was genuinely hard and uncomfortable to watch Madonna getting so mistreated and physically and verbally abused by James Russo. The “He can’t fucking act! He has to do everything for real” runs through the whole narrative, where the blur of acting and real emotions becomes indistinguishable. Those things mostly come to light in few key scenes, whereas I found the film as a whole to be rather uneven in what it wanted to do. Left me rather unresolved on what to really do with all that depiction of mistreatment.
