Femme Fatale (2002)

Brian De Palma is clearly having fun here, with all his signature film techniques. The narrative is one big glorious mess, it isn’t supposed to make total sense, and yet it still manages to do that in the end. It is however not peak De Palma, and there is something about the early 00s “look” that feels off with his style. Too bright or clean maybe. The good thing though is that I never knew which direction the film will take, so it was a ride from start to finish.
