Body Count (1986)
This slasher kill fest has some good things going for it, but not enough to elevate it above mediocrity. The score is cool, plenty of giallo vibes from Goblin, and I really liked the location. Combined with Rassimov as the sheriff, it reminded me of the atmosphere from First Blood. But as a whole, the film simply has too many characters and there isn’t spend a lot of time building a narrative, so all the kills feel detached from everything, making it less engaging overall.
