Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare (1991)
As the series progressed, they got more and more incoherent and absurd. Increasingly likely better seen with some stronger intoxication than a soda. For the previous films there was still enough to appreciate with cool set designs or enjoyable characters, making up for the overall lack of cohesive narrative. I think with this film, the franchise finally tripped over itself and the negatives outweighs the good parts. Yes, there are still a few genuinely fun set pieces, but it feels cheaper and less inspired. All characters are bland and forgettable, and Freddy is more silly than scary. Fine for just casual watching.
