49th Parallel (1941)
Historically interesting and unique for its perspective, following German Nazis on the run in Canadian enemy territory early in the war. Obviously works as a propaganda to get the US in particular to join the war with direct critique of supposed neutrality, but there is more than that to it. While the narrative may not give outright sympathy for the Nazi soldiers, there are elements of making them human - and with some rather tragic fates along the way. We see them challenged on their beliefs and where heritage has value and where it is used as a weapon.
