The Street Fighter (1974)
With the exception of an intense period in the 90s with Tekken 3, I have never taken much interest in martial arts. This gritty 70s fighting film was surprisingly good in that regard. Sonny Chiba has the best facial expressions, the fights are well choreographed and interesting to follow and there is enough creativity and variation to fill the movie. It is also a movie that refuses to give any hero to root for as such, as our main guy starts with throwing a woman into sex slavery because he wants to get paid. This serves more than just portraying him as barely any better than his criminal opponents, but also makes for a fantastic three way conflict throughout the movie with one great showdown in the end.
