Love Affair (1939)
I liked this more than I thought I would. The sweet classic romance just won me over, as Dunne and Boyer have great on screen chemistry and their playful yet restrained flirting was a delight. The whole old Hollywood feel and setting adds to the rose tinted nostalgic view of a less complicated past, right before the world war that changed films forever. Yes, the narrative is maybe a bit cheesy by modern standards, but it gets away with it with its sincerity.
