Ten (2002)
The minimalist setup with filming just the inside of car conversations was interesting at first. It is a good way to show real conversations that brings out a lot more than just the words. The repeating theme with these different conversations (or discussions or arguments) often centers around how Iranian society treats woman, and in that regard the message is clear enough. However, the premise doesn’t quite hold up for all 94 minutes. It was strongest in the beginning, especially the scenes with the boy.
