Wuthering Heights (2011)

Andrea Arnold applies her sensibilities for class struggle plenty of wind, fog, rain, mud and grass. More nature than her big city landscapes. What I lacked here though was how Arnold in the other films I have seen portrays the world and her characters, with an element of warmth, care, fun and joy. In contrast to their chaotic lives. This was much bleaker and less ambiguity. Here we rarely see any of the characters happy, except for a few fleeting moments. I missed the contrast, and the story should have been tragic, mostly left me indifferent to the whole affair.
