Maniac Cop 2 (1990)
A step up from the first. Characters are more interesting, there is a bit more meat to the script and the action is more spectacular. Claudia Christian is a delight and the acting doesn’t suffer as much from over-exposition. Cordell is like an unstoppable terminator here, brutally killing people off left and right without the slightest hesitation. Maybe a tad less gritty atmospheric, but makes up for its commitment to its violence and brutality.
