Maniac Cop (1988)
Fun to see this in the light of the various Italian eurocrimes. Clearly heavier leaning into the 80s slasher narrative style, but the same paranoia and distrust in the police force runs through. At least initially. It is hard to ignore that on many parameters, this is pretty bad. The amount exposition is clunky and the acting is laughable, but the premise is entertaining and the commitment to its violence is almost admirable.
