Alice in Wonderland (1951)
I might have watched this as a kid as I do remember bits and pieces, but mostly a new experience. Definitely an interesting outlier in the Disney animation films, closer to Fantasia - with some Wizard of Oz elements, than the more traditional fairy tale narratives. The viewing experience matches that abstract concept that this film is. A stream of consciousness of creative weirdness, accompanied by Disney magical musicality in everything. The very fragmented nature also made me drift in and out of engagement, as some elements was simply more striking than others. I really liked the beginning and the end with all the cards, but with a film that is so experimental as this is - it works either way.
