Ball of Fire (1941)
Basically just a ton of fun. Could have more songs with Barbara Stanwyck though! The premise being slightly silly, but not without some actual merit with a small stab at a certain type of scholars who are completely detached from the real world of their field. Stanwyck and Cooper carry this film from start to finish, with strong emphasis on Stanwyck. It was a joy to see her toy with all the goofy scholars and Cooper playing the lovable shy nerd. Not a constant rolling on the floor laughing comedy, but a pleasant continuous warm smile.
