A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master (1988)
Better than its rating suggest, as I was properly entertained all the way. While the series has never been super strict about logical consistency with its own rules, it mostly ignores all that here. Things just happen for “reasons”, mostly as a lose glue to keep set pieces together. Under different circumstances I would also be critical when films barely can contain themselves within their own concepts and rules, but it honestly didn’t bother me that much me here. The creative set piece kills and the 80s vibe was enough for me to enjoy the runtime, but the characterization still leaves heavy room for improvement.
