Police Story 2 (1988)
Like the first one, this is filled with incredibly entertaining and impressive fight and action scenes. Perhaps more emphasis on explosions than Buster Keaton style mad stunts. It still is a bit tonally uneven, even more so as the plot developments gets rather brutal and leaves any hint of comedy or playfulness far behind. Only for it to suddenly to reappear again.
I watched the Hong Kong release version and I would recommend that, as I can’t imagine adding 15 more minutes would help with the already stretched pacing.
