Demons 2 (1986)

Somewhat of a stepdown from the first, but it does have its moments. It is more an exercise in practical effects than anything else, which are impressively well done and the first one was conceptually similar. But the creativity and wild ideas are lacking, as it becomes very one-noted with greenfaced demons running around screaming. Somehow it felt less contained, even though it copies the concept with a large group of people stuck together. Here it worked best with all the bodybuilders taking a stance in the parking garage, whereas the other smaller side groups weren’t that compelling to follow. The ending also lacks the far out crazyness of the first one. I mean it is not terrible, just everything slightly less on all parameters.
