Tremors (1990)
Continuing with some more comedy horror and yet again, pleasantly surprised with how good it actually was. The set pieces and practical effects are pretty cool, and I liked that is a monster movie taking place in broad daylight for a change. I feared it would fall into the “dumb redneck” stereotype, but they all actually act pretty smart given their situation. And while many things are played off for laughs, it never gets stupid. Even the pole vaulting makes logical sense given their predicament. Both the humans and monsters change strategy and react to each other in believable ways. Very entertaining from start to finish, as things never feels repeated.
