Warfare (2025)
Likely not as intense at home as it would have been in the theater, but it still kept me on edge all the way through. The real time aspect works really well, with a whole lot of waiting only to be interrupted by very deadly action that is over before you know it. Without knowing, I assume it is an accurate portrayal of actual modern warfare. So it succeeds on basically all parameters on what the movie sets out to do. It still left a little bad taste in my mouth, as it also feels somewhat like propaganda for the US army. I can sympathise with the soldiers and what they are going through, but it still feels weird that there is so little attention given to the ordinary people living in that home they demolish, all locked up in their bedroom scared to death. They are barely recognised as humans.
