Fragments for Venus (2025)

This is more of an art project with a very clear intent of making the viewer think about black woman’s place in history. First with a black woman observing old paintings in a museum, mostly with depictions of white people and black women in the background often as servants or slaves. This is later contrasted with scenes from the street in a metropol. It is one of those short films that shows some symbolic things on screen and the viewer can see where their thoughts go. In a way I was intrigued in the museum section with especially the eyes on the paintings, that gave a real sense of the people looking at me. The intent about Black womanhood in history is fairly obvious, and it never really become much more than that. An intent.
