Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)

I haven’t seen this in 30 years and I had a great time seeing it practically fresh again. Could only remember the basics, but that horrible scene with the shoe in the “dip” stirred up some repressed memories. What stands out the most here is the fantastic production, look and general tactile feeling of the whole film. It is amazing how physical and real the interaction with the toons are and it also pretty obvious the filmmakers spent a great deal of time of showcasing that physical interaction as much as possible. It is a joy to behold. Perhaps a bit too much, because I was so impressed with the technical aspects of the film that I lost some engagement with the actual story.
