Heroes Shed No Tears (1984)
One of those types of action films where all enemies have terrible aim, straight up run right into machine gun fire and all kills result in people flying several meters backwards. There is some sort of plot, but it is mostly just to very loosely string the action sequences together. Given that John Woo is such an effective action filmmaker, it does make for pretty entertaining and funny explosive action, but it also clearly lacks his later eye for style, aesthetics and more interesting characters.
