Machines (2024)
It is not a whole lot that happens in those 15 minutes, with a mother trying to spend just a little time with her son on his birthday. But it is a short film that does capture the conflict between trying to make a decent living with a demanding job, while also having the surplus energy to connect with loved ones. Something that sadly isn’t always possible.
