Green Room (2015)
I really liked how the premise was set up for and how the whole movie was kept in mostly the viewpoint of the band, where we don’t get the full backstory of everything happening but has to piece it together from random fragments. It plays out sort of similar to a traditional horror slasher, with people being killed one by one. It happens so fast and not necessarily directly on camera, so I never really knew when it was coming or how a dangerous situation would end. Overall, the narrative might follow the usual beats, but I kept getting surprised anyways. And what a nice surprise to see Patrick Stewart in such a role!
