Silverado (1985)
The 1980s weren’t exactly a big decade for westerns. I can only point to Pale Rider as a good solid 80s western. This is solid too and somewhat old fashioned, but mostly entertaining. I enjoyed how the characters are established, how the balance of humor and action works out, and generally just seeing such a wide range of great actors, established and upcoming. I do think the movie puts too much in plates in terms of subplots and developments, and towards the end I lost some interest in where everything was going, but the ride was enjoyable none the less.
