The Passion of Anna (1969)
Maybe I just like Liv Ullmann more than Bergman, because the films by Bergman I have liked the most was when she took center stage. I don’t think she does here and the film generally has more of a director presence than the actors. They don’t seem to my like real people, but more an extensions of Bergman’s thematic philosophical thoughts that goes through them. What does work here, and may be worth watching just for that, is the cinematography - especially now that we are in color!
