EO (2022)
This feels more like an experimental art piece than a narrative film. Through the eyes of a donkey, the visuals communicate a sensory connection with nature and mankind’s troubled relationship with the animal world. Individual scenes work pretty well, but I do think the lack of connection with human characters makes this less engaging and mostly just interesting as a unique way to use the film medium.
