Leaving Las Vegas (1995)

I remember this as better than it is. I know it is an unfair assessment, but this movie has very little going for it if you remove Nicolas Cage. Understandably he is praised for his role as he makes up the whole film, but the rest isn’t very good. It is generally kind of cheesy, with overused clichés. Yuri is like a villain from a Steven Seagal movie, and while Sera isn’t exactly a romanticized version of a prostitute, it is still the Hollywood version of things.
