The French Connection (1971)
Another case of the style being the main course of this film. The actual heroin smuggling plot is serviceable, but not something I was so invested in. How things are presented was great though, especially as scenes take time to build up and unfold. It is a pretty slow burn and it only really kicks in in the last half, but the iconic train and car chase makes this entire film worth seeing.
