Massacre Time (1966)
A pretty standard fare story of a town being controlled by a sadistic tyrant and a stranger riding into town involves himself in a rivalry with the tyrant. The connection between our hero and the tyrant remains a mystery for both him and the viewer for most of the running time, which makes for a very slow moving plot. It goes in circles for a good while until the films redeems itself in the final showdown that lives up to the title of the film. I am happy it got better in the end, but this could have been a much better film if some of the creativity they had for the final 20 minutes could also have been applied a little more in the first hour.
