Strip Nude for Your Killer (1975)
With a title like that for a giallo film you expect a whole lot of sleaze and gratuitous nudity. It totally delivers in the most shameless offensive sense. All characters, both males and females, are fully or half-naked most of the time, and the film makes little to no excuse for doing it. It leaves a bad taste, but I got to admire the unhinged shamelessness behind it. Especially the very last scene, the last frame, is utterly “yuck”, where some giallo films could be credited with some female empowerment, consent isn’t a concept here. But a big part of the film, most of the second half, is fairly decent giallo slasher in its own right. Tense and effective kill scenes with the conventional aesthetics of knifes and black leather. And I was properly invested in finding out who the killer is and what their motives were.
