Weapons of Death (1977)
The title here is apt. An obscene amount of death and violence, mostly from guns, but also other “creative” ways of killing people. There is a plot somewhere, but it mostly feels like they need something to loosely attach the various scenes together. It is serviceable but I was longing for a little bit of exposition. The starts feels like a spaghetti western. A bank robbery followed by a train robbery. A gang is basically wrecking total havoc on a city for no apparent reason, and a single policemen tries to get to their leader. Through a pile of bodies we get random more or less disjointed crazy scenes, like kids being threatened at knife point, motorcycle decapitation, gruesome fatal car crashes, people being set on fire, castration of a pedophile and a car chase with a Lancia Stratos driven by a kid through the narrow streets of Napoli. This movie is simply nuts, and entertaining in its ridiculousness.
