I thankfully have no experience with people with addiction problems, which may be why I didn’t get much out of this. I like the general style and approach to the narrative, by following Anders for a single day and through his encounters with old acquaintances we get a better understanding of who he is. Or at least that is how I hoped this movie would go, because I never felt I really got to know or understand Anders. His anger and depression and ultimate failure is left unexplained. There may be a point we just see it from the outside, but then the movie is mostly just mundane meetings with regular middle class people being clichéd tired of their normal life.
