Have a Good Funeral, My Friend… Sartana Will Pay (1970)
Gianni Garko is back as Sartana, but he looks very different with his new moustache. Took me a while to even recognize him. Since we got another actor playing Sartana in the previous movie, it may be fitting that the last two movies have a different looking Sartana, even though it is the same actor returning.
Maybe I am getting tired of the formula or they have run out of ideas, because this felt like a Sartana movie that mostly ran on autopilot. It has a cool soundtrack, plenty of good gunfights and utilizes the same very interactive style of cinematography as the previous movies. In my opinion the plot this time around simply left something to be desired. Something about rich people buying up land for what seems to be a high price, but of course they know there is gold there, so regular people are being robbed. Sartana wreaks havoc by killing a bunch of people, and this part is really the highlight of the entire movie, in that the ridiculous long title actually makes sense here. Because Sartana is paying the towns undertake lavish sums for nice funerals for his victims, with good coffins and plenty of flowers. It is all a bit silly.
