The Birds (1963)
This sure took its good time to get going and was frankly quite boring. None of the characters are interesting and most of it is abandoned anyways once the birds starts attacking. Those scenes are very effective at evoking the same sense of paranoia as when a wild bird suddenly enters your living room. I like how the attacks are never explained, it is just an unstoppable force of nature. However the whole narrative around the whole ordeal was just too bland for this movie to really stand out beyond a few key scenes.
