Sgt. Stubby: An American Hero (2018)
I didn’t have the highest expectation when my daughter wanted to watch this movie she heard about from a friend. Nice surprise that it is actually a pretty good toned down kid friendly WW1 movie, the dog is not talking and based on a true story.
While the humans are a bit stiff, Stubby is full of character. What impressed me most is how it portrays war in a very toned down non brutal manner, but it is never dishonest. It has the same essence like any other good war movie, and there is a tensity to some scenes like the gas attack, that is pretty effective.
