North by Northwest (1959)
This hits the ground running in a very entertaining manner, with an innocent man thrown into an elaborate spy plot similar to The Man Who Knew Too Much. It is full of witty snappy dialogue loaded with sexual innuendo, but I think it lacked in thrill and suspense. Once Thornhill starts to act like a real special agent, I lost half my interest in the plot and it takes a while to get up to pace again after the incredible start. Far from Hitchcock’s best in my opinion but decently entertaining.
