The Cameraman (1928)

This may not have the biggest stunts but I think it wins with its romantic narrative. There is a bit more too it this time around, even though it follows the familiar formula of Buster doing everything to get the attention of the girl he fancies. The story here has a nice pace and keeps thing varied and interesting throughout the 70 minute runtime, so it doesn’t merely feel like a tacked on excuse to glue different gag scenes together. I think this is the Buster Keaton movie where I enjoyed the story the most, and while it may not have any big memorable stunts, the crazy shootout scene is hard to forget and not something I expected to see in a Keaton movie.
