A Few Dollars for Django (1966)

This movie really has no reason to try and piggyback on the Django name for no reason. It doesn’t need to as it can stand on its own as it has potential. Not really an overlooked gem, but it doesn’t deserve to be completely forgotten in obscurity either. What I think make this stand a bit out among many other second tier spaghetti westerns, is how it deals with the conflict between cattle owners and farmers. A very common theme in American westerns, so it was interesting seeing the spaghetti western aesthetic applied to that. The script is quite decent with an intriguing setup and plenty of ambiguity in who the bad guys really are. What it does lack is some interesting directing and frankly some better acting and dubbing.
