Holy Motors (2012)
If I ever need a textbook definition of a nonsensical French arthouse film, this would be a good pick. This is clearly just not my kind of thing, though I can understand the fascination with directors that makes something like this that dismantles cinematic conventions. Maybe this will be remembered as a milestone in the development of what movies can be in a decade or two, but for now I guess I am not an early adopter. I did enjoy a few scenes, especially the graveyard scene was absurdly amusing in its own twisted way, and the harmonicas are iconic, but the rest was mostly just a jumbled mess to me. Weird and different, but not in the interesting kind of way.
