Carrie (1976)
Continuing with to some earlier De Palma films and it feels same but different. His trademarks are all there with the sleazy voyeur look and turning the knob to 11 in specific scenes, but less mystery plot this time around. I think it takes on too many themes at once and some scenes really dragged, making the movie feel longer than it actually was. I admit it did capture the feeling of being an outsider at school pretty well, and when it goes bananas in the end it sure delivers, but the way there wasn’t nearly as interesting as with Blow Out or Dressed To Kill.
