Ponyo (2008)
A wondrous retelling of The Little Mermaid with some major changes and amazingly beautiful animation as always. Another successful family movie afternoon that could keep the kids attention - for the most part. It has a bit more story to keep track of and perhaps a bit scarier in places than Totoro or Kiki, but nothing beats Miyazaki’s sense for fantastical imagination with substance.
