2 Days in New York (2012)
Delpy’s followup to 2 Days in Paris is more uneven, but still different enough to be interesting and with enough of the same elements to feel properly similar. This time I wasn’t entirely in tune with the humor all the way through. Sometimes it was hilarious, Chris Rock is great here, and other times I just found it silly.
It is easier to like Mingus than Jack from the first, which makes the balance between the two more off and I think that isn’t to the movie’s benefit. Happily everything ends well this time around.
