2 Days in Paris (2007)

This is a very scripted movie with an almost screwball like approach to comedic ridiculous dialogue and absurd situations, and everything still flows very naturally. Adam Goldberg perfectly captures the sensation of being totally left out and unseen being in a foreign country where everyone talks over you in a language you don’t understand. Delpy leaves here usual enchanting self behind for a totally neurotic indecisive person. This movie didn’t leave me with much sympathy for either of these two, as they are both kind of annoying - but instead with a feeling of empathy for their whole situation.

I guess this is the type of film that it is easy to fell “out of tune” with - as the quirky neurotic humor either clicks or it doesn’t at all, but I was very much entertained and laughed my way through the short runtime.
