Brief Encounter (1945)

Fitting to see close to Before Sunrise with its convincing portrayal of how a random encounter can lead to newfound love. The storytelling is old fashioned, but I like Laura’s internal narration. I also love the use of Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 as it is both one of the most beautiful piano pieces of all time and fitting to this movie. The ending has a worthy place in film history.
