Lethal Weapon 4 (1998)
Thankfully a step up from the third movie and a really nice conclusion to the series (so far at least). Jet Li and Chris Rock were nice additions and the action sequences keep being spectacular. I like how the plot this time around adds a little more substance to the crime, with perspectives on immigration. Not that it is very deep, the villains are still very cardboard bad guys, but it had broader consequences for more innocent people, compared to the other times were it was just guns, money and drugs. While there was still some comedic scenes that made my eyes roll, the balance is better here and I found more things genuinely funny. What makes this stand out is the friendship and comradeship between Riggs and Murtaugh goes even further, and both characters get a well rounded loving conclusion.
