Lethal Weapon 3 (1992)

This movie starts and ends with some fantastic explosive action scenes. That is the highlight and makes it worthwhile, with the addition of Danny Glover who still nails his character and maintains the balance to the maniac Mel Gibson. However, I do think the comedy balance is off on this one. Too many jokes fall flat, are drawn out or goes overboard. The plot needs too much clunky exposition scenes. The second movie could handle the fast paced transition from one crazy scene to the next with only a shoestring connecting them, but this one is a step back in cohesion.

Still, that is mostly nitpicking because the overall movie is still pretty entertaining with some fantastic action sequences that makes the movie worth watching in their own right. I am hoping the fourth movie will be a bit of step back up again, but I am worried the downturn started here.
