Singin' in the Rain (1952)

I think I had dismissed this as yet another classic musical, which isn’t normally my thing, but I am glad I gave it chance. Didn’t expect it to such a charming screwball comedy about the transition to talkies. Skip both Babylon and The Artist and just watch the original. Unlike those movies, this can stand on its own without drenching itself in “magic of the movies”. I had the most fun in the first as the musical scenes started to drag a bit towards the end, but overall a well worthy all time classic worth remembering unlike the knockoffs.
